Between the aches & pains I’ve been experiencing from just being more active this summer and the recent dips in temperature making my ever-enjoyable back problems act up (super heavy on the sarcasm there) I’ve been giving my new Bed Buddy Hot & Cold packs from Carex Health Brands quite the workout the past few weeks.
Ever tried to edge your sidewalk with the wrong tool? Yeah, not so much a good idea. I’m now the proud owner of an actual sidewalk edger but that acquisition didn’t occur until I gave myself a nasty case of tennis elbow. Thank goodness the hot and cold therapy from the Bed Buddy Hot & Cold Pack.
Not only could I use the Bed Buddy Hot & Cold Pack to wrap my elbow in moist heat therapy it works for delivering soothing cold therapy as well! The sturdy handles on the each end of the 1″ x 23″ x 4.25″ Hot & Cold Pack made it easy to keep the heat or cold exactly where I wanted it.
Personally I find most cold packs to be uncomfortable because they’re not very flexible. The Bed Buddy Hot & Cold Pack is not only able to be maneuvered to hit just the right spot to work the kinks out, the uniform consistency of the filling makes it actually comfy to relax into (think laying on a couch or sitting back in a chair).
For slightly larger areas, such as with back pain or menstrual cramps, the Bed Buddy Comfort Pack delivers a nice big surface for some moist heat therapy (12″ x 13″ x 1″). Of course, first I have to steal the soft fleece-covered Comfort Pack from my 5-year-old who likes to use the soothing aromatherapy on the growing pains she sometimes gets in her legs.
A couple things that I love about the Comfort Pack :: 1) the cover is machine washable (hallelujah!); 2) the pack itself is sewn into 4 sections so all the filling doesn’t end up in one corner; and 3) they use 100% natural grains for the filling!
