Terrible

Original part was incorrect. How to pay to return. How to pay a restocking fee plus the replacement part has not been received!

Wrong part, expensive return

Web site not easy to figure out correct part. Finally got supposedly correct part number, but cost me $12 to return wrong part. Don't order a part unless you call them directly

Can't get a common replacement part

I recently ordered this chair and it arrived last Friday. Assembly went well, but when attaching the wheels, we found one of the four plastic wing nuts defective. There was no threaded metal insert, just a small hole. Being on a Friday, we had to wait until Monday to get someone in customer service. I needed the chair NOW so the next day we took one of the wing nuts and a bolt to a local hardware store to purchase a replacement. They could match up the metric size but carried only the standard metal wingnut, which worked just fine. On Monday, talking to customer service we were informed that the part is not carried, and we should return the whole chair to Amazon for a refund. We could then order a replacement chair. That would be a terrible waste of resources and time, so we told customer service to forget it -- we would just continue to use the replacement wingnut. We were then informed that in doing so, we would void the warranty for the entire chair! What would happen if a customer were to lose one of the wingnuts? Would they have to replace the whole chair? I gave this unit a three star rating. As for the chair itself, I would give it five stars! It's a wonderful unit at a reasonable cost. I gave customer service one star - I wish I could have given it a zero-star rating. That averages out to the three-star rating. Someone there should review your policies and inventory of replacement parts. Please try to see this from a customer's point of view, and perhaps you will see how ridiculous everything is!

the first lady i called was no help at all--said i could only deal with amazon--even though a hex bolt and washer was missing from a sealed box--obviously from the manufacturer--when i called back, the second lady was extraordinarily helpful--she looked up the amazon order, and is sending me a new chair since a hex bolt was unavailable for replacement--kudos for having at least one superb cust rep in your company
