Yes, you can. To lock after adjustment, twist the locking piece located below the adjustment holes and it will lock the height in place.

What is the correct height at which to set the cane on a given person?
Great question! The correct height will allow the person's elbow to bend at around a 15-30 degree angle (depending on balance levels). To measure for the correct height:
- Put on your usual walking shoes and stand naturally upright.
- Let your arms fall to your sides with a natural, relaxed bend of the elbow of about 15 to 20 degrees. Bend your elbow slightly more (up to 30 degrees) if you will be using a cane for balance.
- Have your friend or family member measure the height from your wrist joint to the floor.

I have a carex cane with a wood handle. Are all the tips the same diameter?
Great question! The tip's diameter will vary based on each model. Our wood handle cane comes in two diameters (7/8" and 1"), whereas our soft grip derby cane comes in a 3/4" diameter.
