When trying to decide on the ideal chair for your needs, you'll want to consider the following:

• Your height: You'll need a seat that can provide a comfortable sitting height that isn't too high or low. Consider measuring a seat you sit on frequently to find the ideal height.
• Your body width: Adequate sitting surface is important to consider. It can help to measure your body width when sitting down to ensure you have ample sitting space.
• Your weight: Choosing a seat with adequate weight capacity is vital to your safety. Sitting on a seat not designed for your weight can result in injury.
• Your shower/tub space: Our bathtub shower seats are made to fit most bathing spaces. However, it may be helpful to measure your space to ensure you choose a seat that will fit. If space is tight, a shower stool may be ideal.
• Your mobility level: If sitting and standing are a greater struggle, we recommend considering a bath seat with extended arms (such as our Carex E-Z Bath & Shower Seat with Handles). The higher arms provide added support. We also recommend using a grab bar or a transfer bench for enhanced assistance.

Materials are essential when considering a shower seat as it is constantly in contact with water. You don't want a seat that quickly erodes from moisture. We've designed our seats to withstand water contact. We use two types of materials: molded plastic and aluminum.

Both offer different benefits. Molded plastic is easy to clean, whereas aluminum offers more stability. When choosing from our collection, it's entirely up to your preference. Our seats are quality tested, proven to withstand daily use, and provide stable support.

All of our chairs are covered by our one-year limited warranty. If your seat does not perform as described or has any flaws, we will issue a refund or replacement.

Regardless of if you're using a metal or plastic shower chair, care and maintenance will be the same. Follow these best practices:

• Dry down your seat after use. This will prevent mildew from forming.
• When cleaning your seat, use mild soap/detergent or bleach with a rag, sponge, or scrubber.
• Be sure to thoroughly rinse your seat to fully remove any cleaning materials.
• Don't forget to clean in between the drainage holes. You can use a cotton swab to make things easier.
• Make sure to clean the bottom of your seat and its legs.
