Is it a shiny finish and does it fit the oval toilet shape? I have the molded plastic which is porous and stains easily. I want something that resists stains.
This seat is not a shiny finish and will fit an oval toilet seat. However, it will not fit an elongated toilet.

Hello We have two of your Carex Quick-Lock 4" Raised Toilet Seat which I purchased on Amazon. I wanted to refresh one and so ordered one from Amazon and they are suggesting I buy instead a Carex 5 inch round. I think 5 inch will be too high since our toilet is already one of the higher ones due to our age. Amazon has all my information so it would be much easier to purchase there but I don't know what to do. I live in Canada. I would appreciate your suggestion. Thanks.............C. Reb
Thanks so much for being a continued Carex customer! We highly recommend taking these steps to decide on the ideal seat height for your needs:
1. Measure from the floor to the back of the person's knee.
2. Measure the height of the toilet seat from the floor.
3. Subtract the measurement of the toilet from the person's knee height. The difference between the two measurements is the raised toilet seat height needed.
By design, raised toilet seats reduce the amount of bend needed to use the toilet. When selecting a raised toilet, it's essential to note if the user's knees will be above or below their torso when seated. If they are above, then a higher elevation is needed. It's much easier to stand and sit when less bending is required. Keep their comfort in mind when selecting a height.
