I got this Carex Knee Walker to use after my foot. Since my surgery on 6/21/22, I’ll fallen off of it three times. The first time, the handlebars twisted around twice so quickly that I lost my balance and fell across the bathtub, where I hurt my shin and wrist. The second time was also in a bathroom where again the handlebars twisted so quickly twice around I twisted my back and slammed my injured foot so hard I make have broken some stitches. The next time I was getting off of the bed and on my way to the bathroom but ended up on my butt because again the handlebars twisted around so quickly that I let it go before I slammed into the door. I also had a scare of falling. As I was rolling slowly to the crosswalk I hit a bum/crack uneven pavement on the sidewalk and was going over the front of the handlebars as they again, twisted around so quickly I grabbed the person next to me to save myself from the fall or being hit by on coming travel.
In my assessment of this product ~ I found that the brake does not work at all and the front wheels (handlebars) turn too quickly (twist) at will.
I would suggest training wheels be added to front wheels to help stabilize them ~ the brake really works, handlebars be straightened because they aren’t, and the tires be rubber and not plastic.
For me, I’m a 60+, and this is too dangerous for me, please take a closer look at your product before someone else gets hurt.
