Concerned about it tipping forward if weight of hands placed forward to pull himself up. Weighs approx 190 lb but weak arms and legs. age 79. How stable is this. Like the idea it can be removed easily as this toilet is used only 1/3 the time and he uses another toilet in house that has NO room for pull bar. Just sink.
Thanks for reaching out!
You should have no issues standing up with this safety rail. It features a 300 lbs weight capacity as well as anti-slip tips to ensure it won't break or move around when weight is being applied. By design, it has a 20" depth to ensure it won't tip forward.
Another great solution is a toilet seat riser with arms. This make standing up a lot more manageable since the user can sit higher and use the arms to stand. They are also easily removable. You can find them here: https://carex.com/collections/raised-toilet-seats-and-toilet-seat-elevators
Hope this helps!
is this aluminum or steel?
This Carex Safety Rail is aluminum to be light-weight and easy to use. Hope this helps!
