"The Best Light Therapy Lamps to Boost Your Mood and Brighten Your Skin.
When choosing a sun lamp, Offner tells Allure that “the ‘lux level’ should be at least 10,000.” The Carex Sky Lamp meets those standards with its Brightzone technology and glare-free diffuser, which filters out 99.3 percent of UV rays. According to Henry, that also makes it a good one for skin benefits: “Light boxes and sun lamps provide benefit to patients with conditions like psoriasis and eczema. UV light can reduce symptoms in both inflammatory conditions,” though it’s important to make sure you’re “not exceeding unsafe limits.” Using this light for 20 or 30 minutes daily is ideal."
"A sturdy lamp made by a very well known manufacturer. We like this lamp for its sturdy feel and both the height and adjustability of the lampshade. The aesthetic is not to everyone’s taste but we find it fairly inoffensive. This lamp is currently rated 4 stars out of five on Amazon.com with over 400 reviews. The Carex Health Brands Day-Light Sky stand allows the light to shine down into your eyes and looks more like a traditional lamp than a medical device."
On receiving the Daylight Sky lamp, do we need to open the lamp cover to remove the elastic bands and and or packaging material from INSIDE the lamp? Or is that not necessary, unless changing bulbs. My light works out of the box and not sure if there is additional packing material that has to be removed before using it?
This is not required once receiving your lamp unless changing the bulb.
Is there a On/Off Switch? It seems to only have a switch for Therapy/Task, but as long as it is plugged in, there is no way to turn it off?
The switch should be placed in the middle to be turned off.

Simply follow them in reverse to take it apart. Hope this helps!
How should my sight line be when using the Sky light. Can I look down and read or do I need to look to the side or directly at the light so that the light enters my retinas directly?
Great question! Yes, you should be looking down with the light over you. Your eyes should be approximately in the center of the light with the lamp screen tilted at roughly 15 degrees, so it is projected over you during each session.
